Keeps your flute from Clunking in it’s case – and tarnish free too!
When we receive flutes for repairs, often the flute clunks around in a worn out or poorly fitting case. This contributes to dents and scratches from the flute parts crashing into each other, and knocks the adjustments and seating right out of a flute! After I get a flute sealing perfectly, I wince when I put it back in the clunky case. I don’t know how long it will stay perfect banging around in there. New cases are costly; a French case starts at $140.
The Solution:
I designed a “Flute Security Blanket”™ that easily and neatly lies over the top of the flute in its case that is thick enough – but not too thick, and just the right dimensions to safely keep your flute from clunking. It also has a layer of Pacific Silver Cloth™ that will retard tarnish from forming on your flute! The striking top layer is the finest Silk Brocade, in different patterns and color for your taste. They are all lovingly hand made in the USA.
How to Test Your Case:
With the flute in the case and the case closed, gently turn the case upside down. Do you hear it clunk? You need a Security Blanket™. It may keep damage and resulting costly repairs away.
If your flute doesn’t clunk in its case, use the C foot version Security Blanket™ that will lay across your flute and retard tarnish without making the case tighter.
